| Florida Supercon is excited to announce our first-ever Anime Music Video (AMV) contest! All submissions will be judged by our official judges All submissions will be shown on Friday May 23, 2008 in the Anime Viewing Room The winners will be shown on Saturday May 24, 2008 in Main Events Categories for the AMV contest: BEST IN SHOW BEST COMEDY BEST COMEDY - RUNNER UP BEST DRAMA BEST DRAMA - RUNNER UP BEST ACTION BEST ACTION - RUNNER UP If you would like to participate in the Florida Supercon AMV contest, please read the following rules. ALL CONTESTANTS MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR FLORIDA SUPERCON PRIOR TO SUBMISSION ANY AMV SUBMITTED BY SOMEONE WHO HAS NOT PRE-REGISTERED WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE CONTEST Your submission must be your own creation. Submissions must be PG-13; No nudity, extreme violence or extreme language. (If you can’t see it or say it on TV, you can't use it here) Entries must be no shorter than one minute and no longer than six minutes. At least 80% of submissions must be put to music and include animated footage. Deadline All entries are due by May 1, 2008. Format o The following are the only formats accepted by Florida Supercon: o CD o CD-R o DVD o DVD-R o DVD+R o Electronic Submission Format Guidelines o All files should be NTSC formatted o MPEG 2 format is preferred o Audio should be encoded at 48000 Khz o Only one submission is allowed per contestant Submission Instructions o For electronic submission, e-mail Trisha (trish@floridasupercon.com) for instructions o All other entries must be mailed to: Florida Supercon PO Box 4012 Fort Lauderdale, FL. 33338 o Mailed entries must include the following information typed in a legible font: $Full Name, e-mail, phone number, age, anime that the footage represents, and song played in the video o You will be notified via e-mail when your entry is received o Winners will be announced during the AMV Awards at Florida Supercon on Saturday Legal o By submitting an entry, each contestant agrees: they have read, understand and will comply with these official rules; and, or to the extent permitted by law, consent to the use of the entrant's name, likeness and/or biographical data for purposes of advertising and promotion by Florida Supercon, without further consent, compensation or approval. o Submitted materials become the property of Florida Supercon and will not be returned. By submitting a video to Florida Supercon, the video creator grants Florida Supercon non-revocable permission to exhibit that video. The video creator otherwise retains all rights and responsibilities relating to its creation. o We are not responsible for lost or misguided entries. o Do not submit any work that is not your own. Any fraudulent entries will automatically be disqualified and the submitter will be banned from participating in all future AMV contests held by Florida Supercon. o We reserve the right to change these rules at any time, without notice. |
