Several new Media Guests have just been added to the line up for Florida Supercon 2013, including David Yost, Walter Jones, Barbara Goodson, Robert Axelrod and Richard Horvitz. Fun fact: All five are stars of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, in addition to all the other amazing roles they've portrayed!

David Yost is best known as Billy Cranston, The Blue Ranger in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie and Power Rangers Zeo. David starred in more than two hundred episodes of the show's first four seasons. He was the only Ranger to appear in every single episode of the original series, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. With powers and motifs based on creatures such as the Triceratops and Wolf, the Mighty Morphin Blue Ranger is still one of the most popular in the franchise thanks to Yost's commitment to the role; Billy never switched colors or passed on his power coins to successors like the rest of the original cast. Yost's most high-profile work was his appearance in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie, which took in over thirty million dollars at the box office in 1995. The movie was in theaters between the second and third seasons of M.M.P.R. and served as a non-canonical alternate opening for the third season. After Mighty Morphin Power Rangers ended and Power Rangers Zeo began in the fourth season, Yost stayed as Billy.

Walter Jones is best known for starring as Zack Taylor, the Black Ranger on the hit television series Mighty Morphin Power Rangers for the first 2 seasons. He returned to Power Rangers in the Lost Galaxy season where he played the voice of Hexuba's Nightmare Monster in "Dream Battle" and also acted in "Forever Red", an episode of Power Rangers: Wild Force as Gerrok. He was one of the special commentators, along with fellow co-star Amy Jo Johnson, on the "1993" episode of I Love the '90s. Jones was the very first actor to do voicework for any character other than a Ranger (mainly for monsters or villains) on a Power Rangers show after having a role as a Ranger himself.

Barbara Goodson is an accomplished actress and voice actress best known for her roles as the voice of Empress Rita Repulsa (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Power Rangers Zeo, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, Power Rangers in Space), Red Fraggle and Wingnut in Jim Henson's animated Fraggle Rock series, and most recently Mother Talzin on Star Wars: The Clone Wars. In addition to Rita Repulsa, she has also voiced both Prince Sprocket and Orbus in Power Rangers Zeo (giving her at least 3 credits listed in the show's end credits). She also was the female voice of Mandilok in Power Rangers Wild Force and Ladyborg in Beetleborgs Metallix.

Robert Axelrod is best known for his roles as Lord Zedd and Finster on the "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers". The Lord Zedd voice is one of the most recognizable character voices around. He voiced Armadillomon and Wizradmon on "Digimon, Microchip, The Punisher's sidekick, on "Spiderman", Rico on "Robotech", and has voiced countless Anime features including "Akira", "The Big O", "Cowboy Bebop", "Brain Scratch", too many to list. As Lord Zedd, he starred in both the first Power Rangers feature film and the wildly popular live show that toured the country. He was a regular character on Saban Entertainment's "Wowser" series (as Ratso Catso), "Journey To The Heart of the World" (as Scarface), "Hallo Spencer" (as Elmer), and more!

Richard Horvitz is an accomplished actor and voice actor. His cartoon credits include Invader Zim (as the voice of Invader Zim), The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (Billy), Angry Beavers (Daggett), Ben 10 (Grey Matter, Sublimino), El Tigre: Adventures of Manny Rivera (Dr. Chipolte Sr., Diego / Dr. Chipolte JR), Code Name: Kids Next Door (Crayon Boy), Dave the Barbarian (Ned), Kim Possible (Aviarius), Mulan, Totally Spies!, Static Shock, Osmosis Jones, Cats & Dogs, Duel Masters, Crash Nebula, Johnny Bravo and Howl's Moving Castle. He is known to Power Ranger fans across the globe as the voice of Alpha 5 in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Power Rangers Turbo, Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie, Power Rangers Zeo, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie.

December 21, 2012 December 15, 2012 In 1950, Cardy began his decades-long association with DC Comics, starting with Gang Busters and working on The Legend of Daniel Boone, Congo Bill, House of Mystery, House of Secrets and more. During the 1950's he also worked for Standard Comics drawing many horror and romance comics. He began developing his breakout reputation with Tomahawk at DC and from 1962–1968 drew the first 39 issues of Aquaman and all its covers through the final issue (#56).
In the mid 1970's he left comics to work in commercial art doing magazine art and ad illustrations, including movie advertising art (though not necessarily the "one-sheet" posters) for films including The Street Fighter (1974), The Night They Robbed Big Bertha's (1975), Neil Simon's California Suite (1978), Stanley Donen's Movie Movie (1978), Martin Ritt's Casey's Shadow (1978), and Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now (1979). Nick also did some work on the original "classic" Star Wars poster (1977), on which he added the droids (R2D2 and C3PO) to the poster image. December 15, 2012 Comedy group Pineapple-Shaped Lamps will be returning to Florida Supercon 2013, following a host of amazing performances this past year! They are without a doubt one of the funniest groups to ever hit a convention stage and we are thrilled they'll be making the trip back to Miami. |
