Edward Leslie began his career at the side of Hulk Hogan in the 1976. At the time, the two were billed as brothers; Ed was known as either Ed Boulder or Dizzy Hogan, to match Terry's Terry Boulder and Hulk Hogan. He worked for Bill Watts's Mid-South territory and sporadically for the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) before he became known as Brutus Beefcake in 1984. Beefcake spent 1984 as a heel feuding with David Sammartino and Hulk Hogan. In 1985, Beefcake began teaming with Greg "The Hammer" Valentine, and they became known as "The Dream Team". The Dream Team won the tag team titles in 1985 from the U.S. Express and held the title for an amazing eight months, dropping the titles to The British Bulldogs at WrestleMania 2. Brutus then became "The Barber" at Wrestlemania III, after splitting with Valentine and helping Rowdy Roddy Piper cut Adrian Adonis' hair. Beefcake spent the rest of the 80's feuding with former partner Valentine, ex-manager Johnny Valiant, The Honky Tonk Man, "Outlaw" Ron Bass, Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Zeus and Mr. Perfect. In 1990, a near fatal accident put Leslie out of action for two years. He returned to The WWF in 1991 hosting an interview show called "The Barber Shop." He returned to the ring in 1993 in a match against Ted DiBiase, followed by teaming with Hulk Hogan in a tag team called The Mega-Maniacs, with Jimmy Hart as their manager. In 1994 he moved to World Championship Wrestling (WCW). Since the name "Brutus Beefcake" was trademarked by the WWF, he had to change his ring name. At first he was "Brother Bruti" and then "The Butcher". As The Butcher he feuded with Hulk Hogan for the WCW World Heavyweight title. He changed his moniker several more times, including runs as "The Man with No Name", "The Zodiac", "The Booty Man" and finally as Hulk Hogan's bodyguard "The Disciple" in The NWO. Following his tenure at WCW he has worked with several Independent companies, started a Wrestling School and was a coach on the reality television show Hulk Hogan's Celebrity Championship Wrestling.

Born the same week that Tootsie, Gandhi and ET earned top spots at the box office, it’s no coincidence that Nicki Clyne finds ongoing inspiration in Mahatma Gandhi’s life, that she’s convinced life exists outside our current definition, and that she’s never felt quite right about Dustin Hoffman. Nicki later grew to be directly influenced by the enchanting talents of Judy Garland in The Wizard of Oz and by the unparalleled independence and cool expressed through her favorite orphan, Punky Brewster. Nicki can still be seen clicking the heels of her mismatched Converse when she finds herself in regrettable situations. Since childhood, and with the same intensity she has since employed fighting Cylons in all out space-battle, Nicki attempted to fit the square shape in the square hole, the circle shape in the circle hole and, on occasion, the square shape in the circle hole. It was this diligence and focus that taught her to never give up on her dreams, to believe in herself, and that, if it came to it, she could always solve the Rubik’s cube by simply peeling off the stickers. Nicki’s first brush with success came after winning top prize at her Kindergarten Pet Show, where she proudly demonstrated her lop eared bunny’s uncanny ability to “skateboard” - in other words, be pulled, unamused, by a little neon harness. But the showmanship didn’t stop there: there were school plays, backyard dance performances, dress-up days, and impromptu postmodern performance art (a unique craft her mother never fully appreciated and often confused for temper tantrums). Along with her love of performing, her love of winning has blossomed into a healthy competitive spirit that comes out mostly at dance parties and in discussions about anything she thinks she knows anything about. Growing up, Nicki pursued her myriad interests – from horseback riding to the bass guitar, from photography to boys’ ice hockey – with an equally short attention span. As soon as one sports season ended, another quickly took its place, and if Physics was too hard, there was always Musical Theater. But her curiosity and exuberant nature never failed to keep her engaged as she explored different areas of study, including philosophy, psychology, religion, ethics, art, media, and more. Eventually she achieved the awareness that how she lived her life was more important that what she knew or managed to accomplish. Ultimately, Nicki found her true passion lay in understanding and upholding the human experience - in every medium. Acting is one such venue - a means to explore the nature of our common struggles, while hopefully inspiring critical thought and compassion in the process. As well, Nicki is highly involved in humanitarian endeavors and community initiatives. Instead of feeling there is “no place like home,” she now feels like there is “no place like now.”

Toxic went on to become Troma's most popular movie, inspiring three sequels, a Saturday morning children's television show, comic books and tons of merchandise. Riding on the success of the Toxic Avenger, Nuke 'em inspired two sequels. Other notable films include: Troma’s War, Sgt. Following several independent seven-inch single releases, Less Than Jake released their debut album, Pezcore, in 1995, featuring such staples as "Liquor Store"' and "My Very Own Flag". The title of the album stems from Roger and Vinnie's fondness for Pez candy, clearly apparent in their reportedly sizable Pez dispenser collections, and the pervasively used suffix "core". Ever since, Pez dispenser motifs have been a common feature of Less Than Jake's merchandise. Shortly following the release of Pezcore, the band was signed to Capitol Records and soon released Losing Streak in 1996. The album was full of the band's wry, fast-paced brand of ska-punk anthems, producing such fan favorites as "Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts," "Jen Doesn't Like Me Anymore," and "Automatic." In 1998 the band released Hello Rockview, which included staple songs such as "All My Best Friends Are Metalheads", "History of a Boring Town" and "Last One Out Of Liberty City". In September 2000, the band released Borders & Boundaries. The album contained singles such as "Look What Happened" and their home-town anthem, "Gainesville Rock City". In 2002 they re-released their compilation album, Goodbye Blue and White, which included various 7" releases spanning from 1996–2001, and provided a different track listing from the first pressing. The album was named in honor of their original tour van, with the liner notes having the band recounting memories of the van. To celebrate the band's 10th year anniversary, Pezcore was re-released and the band's first four 7", Smoke Spot, Pez Kings, Unglued, and Rock-n-Roll Pizzeria, were repressed and included in a limited edition Cereal Box (which also featured a t-shirt, bobblehead, and pin). Less Than Jake's next album Anthem was released in 2003 on Warner Bros./Sire Records and opened at #45 on the Billboard 200, the album featured three major singles in both the US and the UK, with "She's Gonna Break Soon", "The Science Of Selling Yourself Short" and "The Brightest Bulb Has Burned Out". The band released B Is for B-sides in July 2004, which comprised tracks that didn't make Anthem's final cut. The DVD retrospective The People's History of Less Than Jake appeared a month later, featuring both professional and bootleg recordings of the band. In April 2006, the band released its four-song Absolution for Idiots and Addicts (EP), with their next full-length, In with the Out Crowd, following a month later. The album was also issued in a limited edition that came in a leather-bound case complete with bonus multimedia discs that contained a plethora of music videos, bonus tracks and an elaborate photo gallery. In 2007 split with Sire Records and Warner Brothers. Following this split, the band released five high quality (MP3, 320kbit/s), DRM-free, unedited recordings of their live shows, taken directly from the mixing console at each show. In 2008 the band founded its own label, Sleep It Off Records, and released its seventh full-length album, GNV FLA. The band has recently stated its preference for EP releases, and independently issued Greetings from Less Than Jake (2011) and its counterpart, Seasons Greetings from Less Than Jake (2012).
