Florida Supercon is proud to welcome the Legendary Neal Adams as a Guest of Honor for our 2012 event! Neal Adams is one of the greatest comic book artists of all time! He helped revolutionize Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Green Arrow for DC Comics. He helped revolutionize The Avengers and The X-Men for Marvel Comics. He redefined comic book art in the Silver Age and continues to be a huge influence in the industry as an artist, graphic designer and creator rights advocate. He has been working with both Marvel and DC recently on both Batman and The Avengers.
As Florida Supercon quickly approaches, we are looking for more staff and volunteers to make this the best Florida Supercon yet. We are looking for people who would like to donate time, talent and expertise in order to gain behind the scene access to the convention and an opportunity to meet other volunteers who have the same interests and passions for the comics, anime and pop-culture community.
There are many different opportunities at the con. Some of the positions call for specific skills and experience, but many will only need enthusiasm, dedication, trust, and creativity.

Olivier Coipel, Sheldon Moldoff, Bill Sienkiewicz and Karl Moline have all just been added as guest creators for Florida Supercon 2012!
Olivier's Coipel is a French comic book artist best known for his art on Thor, The Mighty Thor, House of M, Siege and is one of the artists of Avengers vs. X-Men! His long list of art credits include: The Amazing Spider-Man, The Avengers, Fear Itself: Fellowship Of Fear, Heroic Age, House of M, JSA Secret Files, Legion Lost, Legion of Super-Heroes, Legion Worlds, The Legion, Legionnaires, The Mighty Thor, New Avengers, The Pulse, Resident Evil, Siege, Stan Lee Meets Spider-Man, Superman: The Man of Steel, Thor and Uncanny X-Men.
Sheldon “Shelly” Moldoff got his start in the comic industry over 60 years during the Golden Age of comics. He is known for his work on Hawkman, Moon Girl, Kid Eternity and The Black Pirate as well as covers for Flash Comics, All-American Comics and Green Lantern. He was the Co-Creator of Hawkgirl, Bat-Girl, Bat-Mite, Ace The Bathound, Poison Ivy and the creator of The Black Pirate (Jon Valor). From the 1950's - 1960's he was a ghost artist for Batman creator Bob Kane on Batman.
Bill Sienkiewicz is an Eisner-winning, Emmy-nominated artist best known for revamping the style of comic and graphic novel illustration 1980 onward, most notably with Marvel Comic's Elektra: Assassin and his acclaimed graphic novel Stray Toasters, earning him an international reputation and cult status across media industries. Comic Book fans will also know him from his work on New Mutants, Batman, Fantastic Four, Sandman: Endless Nights, Moon Knight, Transformers and Star Wars. He created groundbreaking movie promotional art for The Dark Knight, The Grinch, Unforgiven and the hit video game Resident Evil. Sienkiewicz' character design for the upcoming DreamWorks' film Alcatraz Versus The Evil Librarians has now opened doors for producing. Sienkiewicz is conceptualizing characters for LionsGate's supernatural Western The Man With No Name, which he will executive produce with Braxton Pope. He will also jointly produce, write and direct the film of his Stray Toasters with Jeff Renfroe.

Scott Adsit, Alan Oppenheimer and Gregg Berger have all been added to the growing list of guests for Florida Supercon 2012!
Scott Adsit may be most recognized as one of the stars of 30 Rock on NBC, but his voice is well known to fans of the stop motion animated series Morel Orel and Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole. Scott is a writer, director and executive producer for Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole, and the voices of Professor Polidori, Frankenstein's Monster and Gustav. Scott was also a writer, director and executive producer for Morel Orel, and starred as Clay Puppington, Coach Stopframe, Doughy Latchkey, Ms. Sendordoll, Doctor Potterswheel, Mr. Christein, Link McMissions and Art Posabule.

Alan Oppenheimer’s career as an actor and voice actor has spanned almost five decades in television, film and video games! He is Skeletor, Battle-Cat, Cringer, Man-At-Arms and Mer-Man in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and She-Ra: Princess of Power! The first four musical guests for Florida Supercon have just been added! Chii Sakurabi, The Cadillac Creeps, Crimson and Critics & Skeptics will all be performing at FSC. Stay tuned for many more musical guest additions!
Chii Sakurabi is a J-POP singer from Tokyo, Japan. She has performed live throughout Tokyo for over three years and recently moved to the United States where she is expanding her music career internationally. Chii and composer Nucky have written original songs with a fantasy world concept. Chii released her first album, "Mirage," in November 2011. This album has both high-energy and ambient styles, including some songs with English and Japanese versions. With Chii's amazing voice and adorable dances, you can't help but fall entranced into her world! Chii's current ambition is to share Japanese fairytales through music. Enjoy her fantasy world!

The Cadillac Creeps is a compilation of musicians from the east and west coasts that share the same love for great music as well as a great live performance...Both Sound and Vision. With a belief that the image should be just as important as the music...this is "NO" t-shirt and Jeans Band! Their focus is on entertainment that is as much visual as it is auditory. They have been compared to KISS, Manson, Rob Zombie, The Misfits, Sabbath and Alice Cooper. The music is dynamic and powerful as well as hauntingly romantic. This is a Rock band that has it all and have developed an amazing following with their killer songs, catchy riffs, memorable hooks, incredible Vocal Harmonies and an in your face Mind-Blowing High Energy Rock Stage show. To add to the killer image, their main transportation and touring vehicle is a 1963 Cadillac Hearse ...which is where the Cadillac comes in.

Crimson was born of the marriage of Elisa Meléndez's songwriting and Evan Lamb's arranging. They began writing & performing together in 2001 and after going through a few line-up changes, the final line-up of Brian Lange on drums, Alex Hoyt on keytar bass & Dave Torre on rhythm guitar added the perfect combo of musicianship and friendship.

What happens when you blend together sweet alternative rock, beastly pop-punk and some epic hard rock together? Critics & Skeptics of course. Roy Thomas has been added to the guest list for Florida Supercon 2012! Roy is well known as a writer and editor. He introduced Conan the Barbarian and Star Wars to comics and had long tenures as the writer of The Avengers, The X-Men and All-Star Squadron. He is currently the editor of Alter-Ego Magazine. He was Stan Lee's first successor as editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics and was inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 2011. Roy created or co-created numerous characters at Marvel, including: Yellowjacket, Adam Warlock, Morbius, Doc Samson, Ms. Marvel,Valkyrie, Killraven, Ultron, Man-Thing, Iron Fist, Brother Voodoo and Ghost Rider. He also devised the fictional metal adamantium, used in countless stories.

 Billy West and Brina Palencia have been added to the Florida Supercon 2012 guest list!
Billy West is best known as the star of Futurama, Ren & Stimpy, Doug, The New Woody Woodpecker Show and the voice of Bugs Bunny in Space Jam! On Futurama he is the voice of Fry, Professor Farnsworth, Dr. Zoidberg, Zapp Brannigan, Leo Wong, Richard Nixon's head, Ipgee, M5438, The Educational films narrator, Gearshift, Humorbot 5.0, The Transition Announcer, Judge Whitey, The Galactic Entity, Sinclair 2K and more. He was the voice of Stimpy in The Ren & Stimpy Show from 1991-1996, and he provided the voice of Ren from 1993–1996. Billy performed other characters on the series as well, such as Mr. Horse and the "Announcer/Salesman". He was the voice of Doug in the long running Doug series, and has been the voice of both Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd for several Looney Tunes films and video games, including Space Jam. He was the star The New Woody Woodpecker Show, voicing Woody Woodpecker, Wally Walrus and Dr. Doug Nutts.

Brina Palencia is a multi-talented actress, voice actress and director.  Lloyd Kaufman and Herschell Gordon Lewis have been added to the Florida Supercon 2012 guest list!
Lloyd Kaufman is the President and Co-Founder of Troma Entertainment, film director, producer, screenwriter and occasional actor. He is best known as the creator and director of The Toxic Avenger and Tromeo and Juliet. Kaufman also serves as chairman of the Independent Film & Television Alliance.

Herschell Gordon Lewis is the undisputed Godfather of Gore! In 1963 Lewis, with his monumental splatter movie Blood Feast, single-handedly changed the face of horror cinema forever. As well as virtually inventing the gore generation, Lewis also produced a number of "exploitation" movies, as well as sampling the full gamut of exploitation subjects ranging from wife-swapping and ESP to rock 'n' roll and LSD. A Taste of Blood details all these, plus gore classics such as 2,000 Maniacs, The Gore Gore Girls, Color Me Blood Red and Wizard of Gore, placing them in context amid the roots and development of the exploitation film. After over three decades away from filmmaking, HGL returned in 2002 with Blood Feast 2 and most recently completed The Uh-Oh Show in 2010.

J. David Spurlock is an author, illustrator, editor, and artist's-rights advocate best known as the founder of Vanguard Productions, a publisher of art books, graphic novels, and prints. Spurlock founded Vanguard Productions in 1993 to publish a comics anthology, Tales from the Edge. The company moved into art books, biographies and, eventually, graphic novels, including Neal Adams' Monsters. DC Comics editor Julius Schwartz, an architect of the Silver Age of Comic Books, said "Spurlock's line of books serve as the vanguard of Silver Age comics histories."  Paul Bradford and Scott Tepperman from Ghost Hunters International have been added to the Florida Supercon 2012 guest list!
Paul Bradford is a member of Ghost Hunters International! Born and raised in Britain, Paul’s interests in the Paranormal unlike many didn’t come from any personal experiences but, in fact, from his love of Science Fiction, such shows as ‘Dr Who’, ‘Stargate’ and ‘The X- Files’ have lead to some of Paul’s own ghostly inventions, inventions that he has spent the past 3 years bringing to the paranormal community. Paul passion for the paranormal has lead him to develop and create a number of different tools used now by paranormal groups all over the world. In his own words, Paul says, “my aim is to bring affordable equipment to the paranormal community”.

Scott Tepperman is one of the stars of the SyFy Channel’s hit TV show, ‘Ghost Hunters International’. A native of Queens, NY, Scott first became involved with the paranormal after visiting the original "Amityville Horror" house in Long Island. Intrigued with the case at a very young age, he immersed himself in all aspects of the supernatural and has since become a die-hard horror movie enthusiast.

Denny O'Neil is best known for his work as a comic book writer and editor at Marvel and DC starting in the 1970s. Denny is best known for his work on Batman, Green Lantern/Green Arrow, Detective Comics, Iron Man, The Shadow and The Question. In addition to his work in comics, Denny is an accomplished novelist.

Brad Walker is best known for his recent work on Heroes For Hire and Marvel's cosmic titles The Thanos Imperitive and Guardians of the Galaxy. His other art credits include: Actions Comics, Age of Heroes, The Avengers, Batman: War Drums, Batman: Legends of the Dark Night, Batman Allies: Secret Files and Origins, Birds of Prey, Catwoman, Detective Comics, Supergirl, Secret Six, Tangent: Superman's Reign, Manhunter, Nightwing and Richard Dragon.
Alex Segura is the Executive Director of Publicity and Marketing for Archie Comics. He is also a comic book writer, with credits including Archie, Archie Meets Kiss, Archie & Friends and DCU 2010 Halloween Special. His first novel was titled Silent City and he is currently working on his second novel, Down The Darkest Street.

Rob Hunter has over ten years experience working in the industry and is the current inker on Red Lanterns, part of the New DC 52! His art has also been seen recently in Green Lantern, Justice League of America and Detective Comics.

Rags is best known for his work on Identity Crisis, Countdown to Infinite Crisis, Batman Confidential, Hawkman, Turok Dinosaur Hunter and Forgotten Realms. Morales is the co-creator, along with Brian Augustyn, of the 1990s version of Black Condor.

Howard Chaykin has been a driving force in comics as a writer and artist for almost 40 years. He is best known for his work on Star Wars (#1-10), Avengers 1959, Blackhawk, Back Kiss, American Flagg, Fafhrd and the Grey Mouser, Twilight and much, much more!
Shawn Crystal is best known for his artwork on Deadpool, with credits for the character including: Deadpool, Deadpool MAX, Deadpool MAX II, Deadpool Max X-Mas Special, Deadpool: Games of Death, Deadpool Team Up, Deadpool Corps: Rank and Foul and Wolverine/Deadpool: The Decoy. In addition, Shawn's credits include: Birds of Prey: Secret Files, Resident Evil: Fire and Ice, Negative Burn, Chuck Even More Fund Comics, Hawaiian Dick, Heavy Metal, Image Holiday Special and Negative Burn.

Argentinian born artist Jose Delbo has a career that has spanned 50 years, starting in the Silver Age of the early 1960's until today. Comic fans will best know Delbo as the main artist on Wonder Woman from 1976 to 1981 and The Transformers (Marvel Comics) from issue 36-67 (1987-1990).

Richard Horvitz and Rikki Simons have just been added to the Florida Supercon 2012 guest list! Richard and Rikki are best known as the stars of Invader Zim, as Zim and Gir!
Richard Horvitz is an accomplished actor and voice actor. His cartoon credits include Invader Zim (as the voice of Invader Zim), The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy (Billy), Angry Beavers (Daggett), Ben 10 (Grey Matter, Sublimino), El Tigre: Adventures of Manny Rivera (Dr. Chipolte Sr., Diego / Dr. Chipolte JR), Code Name: Kids Next Door (Crayon Boy), Dave the Barbarian (Ned), Kim Possible (Aviarius), Mulan, Totally Spies!, Static Shock, Osmosis Jones, Cats & Dogs, Duel Masters, Crash Nebula, Johnny Bravo and Howl's Moving Castle.
Rikki Simons is a voice actor, writer, and artist. He is most famous for being the voice of the robot in a dog suit, GIR from Invader ZIM. As an artist and writer he is known for science fantasy graphic novels such as Ranklechick and His Three Legged Cat, Super Information Hijinks: Reality Check!, and the unfinished six volume ShutterBox fantasy series, which he co-created with his wife, Tavisha-Wolfgarth-Simons. He is also a background painter in animation, most noted for his color design on Invader ZIM.
