Florida Supercon is proud to announce the addition of James D. Hudnall to our ever growing guest line up! James has been a professional writer of comics and articles since 1986. His comics series Harsh Realm was made into a TV series on FOX. His latest project is Aftermath, a graphic novel published by Humanoids in early 2011. He currently writes 2 weekly comic strips, Obama Nation with cartoonist Batton Lash and Useful Idiots withVal Mayerik.
James started his writing career with the series Espers, published by Eclipse Comics. He later worked for Marvel and DC on such titles as Alpha Flight, Strikeforce: Morituri, and his own creation Interface, which was a sequel to Espers. He also wrote graphic novels such as Lex Luthor: The Unauthorized Biography, Sinking, Streets and The Psycho. He was one of the founders of the Ultraverse line for Malibu Comics, launching Hardcase and The Solution, plus working on many of the other titles in the line (Sludge, Freex, Break-Thru and The Strangers). His series Harsh Realm was adapted to television by X-Files producer Chris Carter in 1998.
In 2009 he began writing for the conservative media criticism blog Big Hollywood which was founded by Andrew Breitbart. He since created the weekly comic strip "Obama Nation" with comics artist Batton Lash for Big Hollywood, which is now running on Big Government and the news media criticism comics strip "Useful Idiots" with comics artist Val Mayerik which runs on Big Journalism.
