THE FSC COSTUME CONTEST
The FSC Costume Contest is back! The most competitive costuming event in South Florida returns with over $3,000 in cash and prizes at stake, with a $1,000 CASH PRIZE for BEST IN SHOW! The contest is open to ALL skill levels to ensure both novice and experienced costumers have a chance at winning an award. The divisions for the FSC Costume Contest inclue: Master, Journeyman, Novice and Junior/Youth. The competition takes place at 8:00pm on Saturday July 2, 2011.

THE FSC COSPLAY SHOOT OUT!
A brand new FSC exclusive event! FSC invites all pro cosplay photographers to take part in a very unique event. Think speed dating for Cosplay Photography. On Sunday, July 3 2011 up to 16 different cosplay photographers will have the opportunity to set up their gear in our Main Events Room and take pics of cosplayers during a special 3 hour Shoot Out! Here's the deal... Cosplay Photogs can request a booth at the event by emailing  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . If approved, the photog will get one of 30 photographer booths to set up in. Set up will be from 12:00pm - 1:00pm, the event will be from 1:00pm - 5:00pm. Cosplayers are invited to come get their pics taken by any and ALL of the visiting photographers during the Shoot Out! A list of attending photogs will be posted at the Cosplay Booth in the show. Cosplayers can sign up all weekend for an appointment with as many photogs as they like. Each appointment will be for a 15 minute session. Cosplayers may book up to 16 sessions (one with each photographer), but may not have more than one session per photographer. Photographers will be allowed to shoot at their booth and may bring any props they like to enhance the shoot. All photos will be posted on the FSC Flickr page and FSC Facebook pages. Photographers may place a small watermark on the bottom of the photo.

THE FSC HALLWAY COSTUME AWARDS
For the first time ever, FSC will have Hallway Costume Awards! Each day our secret judges will make their way around the convention on the look out for costumes that stand out. Each of our 3 main judges will have 5 ribbons to give out each day (Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon). Plus our special Cosplay Guests (Pikmin Link and Outland Armour) will have ribbons to give out at their discretion during their panels. If you get awarded a ribbon, you will be asked for your name and email and a small prize will be waiting for you at the Cosplay Booth in the Main Exhibition Room (just go there with your ribbon to pick it up). At the end of the weekend, we will check to see which cosplayers have won multiple ribbons... the names of the TOP 3 Hallway Costume Award winners will be posted on Monday at the Cosplay Booth, and will be awarded special trophies. This competition takes place all weekend long.

THE FSC COSPLAY CONTEST
The FSC Cosplay Contest returns! Come with a group or come alone and show off your talent! This contest is based on both your on stage skit and costume. Have fun and show us what you've got. Make us laugh... make us cry... its all up to you! The FSC Cosplay Contest takes place at 5:00pm on Sunday July 3, 2011.

FSC COSPLAY MEDICS "FIRST AID"
A new addition to FSC, we will have FSC Cosplay Medics on hand during Exhibition Room hours at our Cosplay Booth to help fix and repair costumes. If you rip your out fit, need a safety pin, an extra piece of cloth... don't worry, just head to the FSC Cosplay Medics and they'll get you fixed up and back on the show floor in no time! This is a free service.

4TH OF JULY  "RUNWAY" COSTUME CONTEST
A special 4th of July Costume Contest. This contest will be "Runway" style. There will be no pre-judging. Contestants can enter in store bought or home made costumes. Awards will be given for the following Categories: BEST IN SHOW, MOST PATRIOTIC, BEST ANIME CHARACTER, BEST COMIC BOOK CHARACTER, BEST VIDEO GAME CHARACTER, BEST CARTOON CHARACTER, BEST GROUP & BEST YOUTH. Prize packs will be awarded to all winners. This event will take place Monday July 4th from 1:00pm - 2:00pm.

ROCK BAND COSPLAY COMPETITION! Don't just play Rock Band - PERFORM!
Come dressed as a band (You can choose a pre-existing anime or animated band (such as Josie and the Pussycats, The Archies, Dethklok, Beck and Nana) or come up with  your own idea for a band using your favorite anime or cartoon (imagine Naruto on lead vocals, Sasuke on bass, Gaara on guitar and Temari on drums... or Master Shake on lead vocals, Frylock on bass, Carl on guitar and Meatwad on drums... get the idea?). and show that you have the stuff that rock legends are made of. Contestants are judged on song performance, costumes and the use of cliche stage moves to entertain the audience. Rock Band Cosplay takes place on Friday July 1, 2011. 

FSC COSPLAY PHOTO BOOTH
Want to get your picture taken in costume at FSC? The FSC Cosplay Photo Booth will be set up next to the Cosplay Booth in the Main Exhibition Room and will be open as long as the Exhibition Room is open. All pictures will be posted online after the show on our Flickr page and on our Facebook page.
