THE "SUPERGIRLS OF SUPERCON" MASCOT CONTEST
Florida Supercon is searching for a special team of live action mascots!

We’re looking for a few good gals to be the "Supergirls of Supercon!"

This "contest" will take place at Florida Supercon on Sunday June 24, 2007 at 2:00pm in the main events
room. The winners will be used in our promotional materials (such as flyers, website, etc.)
for our next show (Nov. 30-Dec.2, 2007).

Winners will recieve a free lifetime pass to all Florida Supercon
(and Anime Supercon) events, plus some other neat stuff .

The design of the costume is entirely up to the you. We ask only that it be based on a superhero (either an
original design or based on a pre-existing character) and that it does not contain nudity.

Potential mascots will need to pre-register with the convention (as entry is limited to 50 contestants).
Entrants must be at least 16 years old.

How to register in advance:
Email us at supergirls@floridasupercon.com with the following information

Name of the Superhero you will be entering as
A brief bio of the superhero (even if the character is an original creation)

(just outside of the main exhibition room), where you will need to submit any and all reference materials
that are a part of your entry. You will be able to sign in all day Saturday, June 23 and on Sunday June 24
until 12:30pm.

How to register at the convention :
If there are still slots open for the contest at the convention, you will be able to sign up at the
Costume Contest registration table (just outside of the main exhibition room). This event is not connected
to the F.S.C. Costume & Cosplay contest, and is a separate event
(however you will be able to register for both at the same table).

This contest is open to single individuals and teams of two (Hero and sidekick)
This contest is not open to groups of more than two.

There will be no pre-judging for this event. The only time you will appear in front of the judges will be at
the actual event... so come prepared. All contestants will need to meet in front of the Main Events
ballroom at 1:30pm on Sunday, June 24, 2007. All contestants will be lined up for roll call in front of the
main events room (in numerical order according to registration entry). All contestants who are not lined
up at 2:00pm will be dismissed from the contest. After roll call, contestants will be asked to line up and will
be escorted to where the contest will take place.

Contestants may perform a skit of up to 3 minutes (but it is not required)
Judges will ask several questions of each contestant to find out more
about them and the character they are entering as.

No projectiles (such as liquids, sprays, silly string ect) or pyrotechnics/flammable materials.
No messes, if it goes on stage with you, it must go off stage with you as well.

Music – Music CDs are accepted. If your skit includes music be sure to include the
track number on your application and cd. MP3s are not allowed. If you need to include
pauses in your music they must be prerecorded into the song itself, the
DJ doesn’t take special requests for the contest.

Microphones – Microphones will be available to contestants,

Remember to remain quiet while the other contestants are on stage.
Contestants will be announced by the MC and will go on stage.
Contestants that are not performing a skit are encouraged do a couple poses (7 second for each pose )
so the audience can take pictures of their costume. Contestants performing a skit will be given up to 3
minutes to perform their skit. After you've preformed and have talked to the judges, exit the stage and
you will directed to contestant seating. After everyone has left the stage the judges will take a brief
recess to choose the winners for the mascot contest and will then announce the winners.
