Welcome to Family HQ, your place for family friendly fun all weekend long at Florida Supercon! Is your child star struck over Star Wars? Are they a blossoming young artist, or perhaps a wee wizard? If so, then Family HQ is the place for you! At Family HQ, we have something for everyone. Kids and parents alike can join us for a weekend of activities like performances, drawing, and other interactive fun! Looking for fun for the whole family? Family HQ is the place for you!

Beaded Lizards
Create your own beaded reptile friend in Family HQ! These friends can be made in all kinds of fun colors and patterns. The only limit is your imagination! Kids and parents alike will be provided with everything necessary to make their very own beaded lizard.
Make Your Own Flying Saucer
Make your own flying saucer here at Florida Supercon! Using simple materials like paper plates, markers, and glitter, you can create your very own UFO. This fun and easy activity is perfect for young space enthusiasts who love to get creative. Gather your supplies and let's blast off into a galaxy of imagination!

Aliens have arrived on Earth! They’ve come to experience what summer vacation is like on this planet, and they need your help! What should they do? Surfing? Volleyball? Let your creativity soar into space!
Design Your Own Beach Ball
Aliens have arrived on Earth for Summer vacation! Show them how to enjoy the beaches of this planet by designing your very own paper beach ball! Kids will be provided with all the supplies necessary to show these newcomers to Earth how to enjoy fun in the sun and take home their own design.
Family HQ Partners
501st Legion – Everglades Squad
A nonprofit social club, the 501st Legion is a worldwide costuming organization that unites over 14,400 Star Wars® fans in 70 countries. As the local subunit of this organization, Everglades Squad regularly engages in charity work and has helped raise millions of dollars throughout South Florida since 2003. With 102 active members, Everglades Squad visits a variety of locations-- including children's hospitals, schools, libraries, museums, and many more! We are the bad guys doing good in South Florida.
Dagobah Temple – Saber Guild
Saber Guild: Dagobah Temple is South Florida's Saber Guild chapter. Saber Guild is a not-for-profit, LucasFilm-recognized Star Wars costuming group that specializes in Lightsaber Choreography. We are not only Lucasfilm’s preferred lightsaber performance group, but we are the largest recognized lightsaber club in the world.
Museum of Discovery and Science
The Museum of Discovery & Science is all about connecting people to inspiring science! Stop by Family HQ to check out stimulating STEM activities and super science shows! MODS supports all family structures, creating a culture of hospitality where diversity is celebrated.
Moonlighter Fablab / Maker Faire Miami
Maker Faire Miami is a gathering of fascinating, curious people who enjoy learning and who love sharing what they can do. From engineers to artists to scientists, cosplayers to crafters, and more - Maker Faire is a venue for these "makers" to show hobbies, experiments, and projects. We call it the Greatest Show (& Tell) on Earth - a family-friendly showcase of invention, creativity, and resourcefulness. Glimpse the future and get inspired!
Miami Dade Public Library
Florida Supercon is thrilled to welcome back the Miami Dade Public Library System as a partner. They will be stationed in our Manga Library (room 212-213) and in the Family HQ Workshop (Lincoln Ballroom C-D). Be sure to pay them a visit!
