Cosplay Central is an area of our show floor devoted entirely to the art of costumes, crafts, and characters. There’s a dedicated Cosplay Central Stage, showcasing workshops and panels that are geared towards newbie cosplayers as well as seasoned veterans. Plus, get a quick cosplay costume fix at our cosplay repair station or make a costume change in our changing rooms. Don’t miss your chance to meet professional cosplayers at signing tables throughout Cosplay Central. Whether or not you’ll be wearing an epic cosplay to the show, there’s something for everyone in Cosplay Central!

Community is the heart of Cosplay and our shows. Florida Supercon is proud to support local Cosplay groups, non-profit organizations, and individuals as part of our Cosplay Central show feature. Check back soon for community announcements!
Cosplay Competitions and Showcases
From casual “just for fun” showcases to getting competitive with the pros, there’ll be an opportunity for cosplayers of all abilities to show off their costumes at Florida Supercon.
Cosplay Central Crown Championship
The Cosplay Central Crown Championships is a spectacular competition of the best cosplay in the world!
Entrants for the Cosplay Central Crown Championships will be able to choose between recreating a character design and being judged for accuracy or creating their own design based on a recognizable pop culture character and being judged on the design and interpretation of their given starting point. The ability for cosplayers to choose their own competition path embraces the full scope of cosplay creativity.
Craftsmanship is still at the heart of the championship. All of the entries will have their costume construction closely inspected by our judges, before they take to the stage and show off their creations with incredible costume presentations or scripted performances inspired by their characters. We will choose a regional winner, who will be flown out to C2E2 2024 in Chicago to compete against the cosplayers selected at New York Comic Con, C2E2 and Emerald City Comic Con, and decide the overall US Champion for 2024 who will go head-to-head with the international finalists in the global finals, which will also be held at C2E2 in 2024.
Join the championship or come root for your favorite local cosplayer on Saturday at the Main Stage!
If you’d like to apply and come compete for the Crown, applications are open and close on June 7, 2023. You will receive confirmation regarding whether you have secured a place in the qualifier by June 14th.
Cosplay Central Costume Showcase
The Sunday Costume Showcase is back at Florida Supercon this year! This event is open to all cosplayers and is an opportunity for fans of all levels to strut their stuff on the stage.
Please register at the Cosplay Central administration desk during the show to take part. You will have until 1pm on Sunday to come sign up, so make sure to set some time aside to come on by! There are prizes but cosplayers are free to take part just for fun if they do not wish to be judged. Family Groups and Juniors are also welcome to take part just for fun with any costume.

HDC
Award-winning, master craftsman Tim Harrison formally founded Harrison Designs and Concepts, or HDC, in 2018 to break the standard of traditional design and fabrication. The HDC leadership team (Tim, Marty Dubin, and Rory Sunderland) has over 30 years of experience making fantasy reality and the impossible possible. They specialize in crafting cinematic and hyper-realistic details in multi-medium props, costumes, and practical effects.
Their portfolio includes work for Amazon, Showtime, Blumhouse, Disney, Big Lots, Miller Lite, New Balance, Casey’s General Store, Pfizer, independent films, commercials, and more. The HDC team works together to pass on their love, knowledge, and passion for craftsmanship through educational panels and workshops for conventions and social media platforms.
